Report
The Euchre Clubs Annual General Meeting took place on Thursday 24th July 2008, with 54 financial members and 4 visitors attending which was slightly down on last year’s numbers. Many thanks once again to Peter Clarke for accepting our invitation to stand in as our Returning Officer and advisor. We began at 5.30pm with our first complimentary dinner for the year, the A.G.M at 6.15pm and cards to follow.
The new committee for 2008/2009 are:
PRESIDENT: Ron Crump
VICE PRESIDENT: John Smith UMPIRE
SECRETARY: Barbara Smith
TREASURER: Mary Watson
COMMITTEE: Winston Miles, George Hook, Merv Herbert, Eric Potts & Roy Stibbard.


We have 3 new members on the committee, a new treasurer, Mary Watson replacing Janet Newton, and 2 new committee members, Roy Stibbard and Eric Potts replacing Darcy Newton and Joyce Kinchin. We are looking forward to yet another good year.
We now have 74 financial members, which is slightly down for the same period last year..

Results for our Annual Tournament held on Sunday 4th May 2008 went to:
1st - Margaret Newsome of South Tacoma on 12 out of 14 games, and equal 2nd - Colin McKenna of Tuncurry and Betty Cutler of Telegraph Point on 11 out of 14 games.

PLEASE NOTE: The Annual Tournament will be scheduled for Sunday May 17th 2009. Registrations in by May 11th but late entries will be accepted.

If you would like to join our friendly group of players, just turn up Thursday evenings - we start at 7.00pm and finish around 9.30pm with a short tea and coffee break in-between.

The courtesy bus (Ph: 0411 443 460) is available for members and guests, and leaves at approximately 10.00pm.

We have great cash and voucher prizes each week, plus prizes for 10-week and yearly aggregates. All this for a small annual joining fee and $2.00 per week to play.

All Euchre players are most welcome.
